Here is the latest finished piece in the Ellen series – Ellen and the Mountain. I’ve also uploaded Ellen and the Swan. This is turning into a story in which Ellen finds her way home.

The balloon looks like it has cracks in it, as if it is made out of porcelain or some other brittle substance rather than cloth.
I also ponder, that if this is part of a journey in which Ellen finds her way home, it appears she must travel from the land of life and green through the land of barrenness and desolation. This picture must be at the beginning of a long dangerous stretch of the journey. One that will test her!
